Can I please make you aware of a planned demonstration by the “Extinction Rebellion” group on Saturday 9th March 2019 entitled “The Blood of our Children”

This group intend demonstrating in Whitehall outside Downing Street between 10:00 and 13:00 where there is intelligence to suggest that they may cover themselves in fake blood and also throw fake blood at certain buildings. Previous tactics by this group have included gluing themselves to the doors of premises and “Swarming” whereby they stand in the middle of junctions and stop traffic for a short period before moving off and targeting another junction. On Saturday, small children with their parents are likely to be present

After this demonstration in Whitehall, there is intelligence to suggest that the group may undertake “Flash Mob” tactics at Oxford Street/Oxford Circus and surrounding areas to create a scene and bring areas to a standstill.
