The English Defence League (EDL) are holding a protest march today in London.

They will be meeting from 12:00hrs onwards in pubs around the Charing Cross area before conducting a march.

The group United Against Fascism (UAF) will be holding a counter protest in the same area.

There will be a large police presence in the area.

In addition to the above, a group called the Football Fans Alliance will be holding a march from Temple to London Bridge, at this time I do not have timings or expected numbers for this march.

Also, thousands are expected to attend Trafalgar Square this weekend for annual Weekend Live Event.

The image below shows the route for the EDL march, the route itself is not that long, and the Metropolitan Police have applied for and have been granted conditions to be imposed on this march (timings, route, location).
