The English Defence League have started to meet up in the Charing Cross area in preparation for their protest march that is due to start at 13:15hrs. To counter the group, there is an anti-fascist protest taking place in the same area.

The football march is going ahead as planned and there is also a large event taking place on Trafalgar Square (nothing to do with any of the protest groups mentioned).

As expected, there is a large police presence.
