The Metropolitan Police have announced there security measures for New Years Eve;

• 3000+ police officers on duty
• Armed police at rail and underground stations
• Road closures
• Hostile vehicle mitigation measures, including concrete road blockers and road blockers

Over 100,000 will be in London to view the firework display, with thousands of others attending other events in the capital.
