Black Lives Matter

In response to recent police shootings in the US, a UK version of the protest organisation ‘Black Lives Matter’ are planning a march on Monday morning (18th July) from Canary Wharf to the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square. Currently they intend to gather at Heron Quays DLR station from 0830hrs, hold a vigil and then depart at 1000hrs, on foot, towards the US Embassy. (An alternative gathering/vigil point may be West India Quay DLR station).

Numbers are very difficult to predict, but it is possible that there could be several hundred in attendance. Many will be dressed in black, they may be noisy and it is likely that banners will be flown. But we are not expecting any violence or disruption to business.
