All,

Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 21/22 May, and next week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground
We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.

Central line
There will be no service between Marble Arch and Bethnal Green. This is to allow for points renewal work at Holborn and Bank.

Trains will not run between Gospel Oak and Barking, while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018.

On Sunday, there is no service until 10:15 between Liverpool Street and Chingford. Additionally, trains will not run after 22:30 from Monday to Thursday. This is for Network Rail track work.

On Sunday, trains will not run between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters). This is for Network Rail track work. An amended timetable will be in place between Liverpool Street and Chingford after 10:15, including trains calling at Cambridge Heath and London Fields.

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Finchley Road – Until mid-December, A41 Finchley Road has lane restrictions in both directions between Adelaide Road and Grove End Road. This is for cycle lane and pavement works.

Central London – Until mid-August, Piccadilly underpass is reduced to one lane in each direction with a contraflow at the junction of Hyde Park Corner. This is for tunnel maintenance works.

Wembley – From 15:30 until 21:30 on Saturday and from 11:00 until 20:00 on Sunday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including the A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is for sporting events.

Chelsea – From 08:00 until 20:00 each day from Monday to Friday and from 08:00 until 17:30 on Saturday, roads in the Chelsea area will be busier than usual. This is for an event.
