Dear All,

Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 30/31 January. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground
We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.

For a map showing the planned line closures for this weekend and also bus replacement information, please click here

Central line
Trains will not run between Leytonstone and Epping, as well as between Woodford and Hainault via Grange Hill. This is to enable us to carry out track and points renewal work between Woodford and Roding Valley.
London Overground
On Sunday, there will be no service between the following stations:
New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon, due to Network Rail track work
Gospel Oak and Barking, due to preparing the line for electrification
From Monday 1 until Thursday 4 February, there will be no service each evening between the following stations, due to Network Rail track work:
Sydenham and West Croydon from 22:15
Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) from 22:30

Central London – From 03:00 until 16:00 on Sunday, road closures will be in place at various times in Central London, City of London and Holborn. Road closures include Pall Mall, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Waterloo Bridge. This is due to an event. Bus diversions will be in place. For full details, please visit tfl.gov.uk/weekend-travel

Whitechapel – Until late February, there is an eastbound lane closure on Whitechapel High Street between Goulston Street and Old Castle Street. This is due to emergency gas works and Cycle Superhighway works

Southwest London – From 01:00 on Monday 1 February until late September, King’s Road will have road and lane closures in both directions, at the junction of Gunter Grove. Bus diversions will be in place. This is due to National Grid gas main replacement works.

North London – From 09:00 on Monday 1 February until late February, temporary traffic signals will be in place in all directions on Archway Road, at the junction of Muswell Hill Road. This is due to gas main replacement works.
