The City of London Police today issued the information below;
It has been four weeks since the police service released the short public information film called ‘Stay Safe: Firearms and Weapons Attack’ which sets out the key options for keeping safe should the worst happen.
Although the film has already been delivered and widely used across industry as part of police-led counter terrorism security advice sessions, we actively encourage organisations to upload this to their intranet to make it available to all staff.
Any communications on an external webpage must only provide the link to the NaCTSO website, which has been provided below;

It is also encouraged that people show this to their friends and family and to keep in mind this is not just a workplace threat.
The intention of the film is not to unnecessarily scare the public but to ensure that they know what steps to take in the unlikely event of being involved in a firearm or weapons attack.
Whilst this is an emotive subject, experience shows that by becoming more alert to surroundings, thinking ahead and by planning, people have far greater chance of surviving.
