All,

Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 21/22 November. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground
We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.

District line
Trains will not run between Aldgate East and Upminster. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel and track replacement work at Stepney Green, Barking and Hornchurch.
Hammersmith & City line
There will be no service between Liverpool Street and Barking. This is to allow for Crossrail work at Whitechapel, and track replacement work at Stepney Green and Barking.
London Overground
There will be no service between the following stations:
Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel
Surrey Quays and New Cross, due to Crossrail work at Whitechapel
Gospel Oak and Barking, to prepare the line for electrification works

On Sunday, trains on the Chingford branch will not stop at Bethnal Green. This is due to Network Rail track work.

Buses
Haringey – Until 17:00 on Tuesday 24 November, there is a northbound lane restriction on Seven Sisters Road, between Eade Road and Netherton Road. This is due to Thames Water works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination.

Streatham – Until 19:00 on Sunday, there is a lane restriction on Streatham Place, between Streatham Hill and Montrell Road. This is due to Thames Water works. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination.

Central London – Until mid-December, a contraflow will operate along Upper Thames Street with one lane in each direction between Northumberland Avenue and Tower Hill. This is while we continue to progress the East-West Cycle Superhighway from Tower Hill to Lancaster Gate, as part of the Road Modernisation Plan. Some roads in the area will be busier than usual and there may be delays. Please plan ahead and allow more time for your journey. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/eastwest

Hyde Park – Until 22:00 on Sunday 3 January 2016, some roads inside Hyde Park will be closed or access only. This is due to an event. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch and Park Lane areas. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination.

Twickenham – From 13:00 until 19:00 on Saturday, roads leading to Twickenham station and stadium are expected to be busy due to an event. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination.

Hammersmith – From 20:00 on Saturday until 08:00 on Sunday, the A4 Talgarth Road will be closed westbound between Warwick Road and Hammersmith Flyover. This is part of the Road Modernisation Plan. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/weekend-travel

Roads
Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
