Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 29-31 August. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

Notting Hill Carnival
The Notting Hill Carnival is taking place on Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August. Road closures will be in place; drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Tube and rail will be the best way to get around London during the weekend, although stations in west London will be busier than usual. On Sunday and Monday, the following stations have entry and exit restrictions:

Latimer Road will close at 23:30 on both days
Notting Hill Gate will be exit only and the Circle/District lines will not stop on both days between 11:00 and 19:00
Westbourne Park will be exit only between 11:00 and 18:00 and will close at 23.30 on both days. It may be advisable to use Bayswater as an alternative
Royal Oak will be exit only between 11:00 and 18:00 and will close at 18:00 on both days

Buses in and around the event area will be on diversion or will stop short of their normal destination. A number of Santander Cycle Hire docking stations will be out of service.
