Kurdish March Saturday 16th August 2014.
On Saturday 16th August 2014 a Kurdish march will take place between South Portland Place and Marble Arch.
The purpose of the march is to condemn ISIS and seek support for the situation in Northern Iraq.
The march will form up in South Portland Place between 1400 and 1430, moving to Oxford Circus, North Audley Street to the US Embassy, where the march is expected to arrive between 1500 and 1530. The march will then move to Upper Grosvenor Street, onto Park Lane and then Marble Arch between 1600 and 1630. Dispersal is expected between 1700 and 1800.
500 – 700 participants are expected with a maximum of 1000. The event is being policed by Westminster BOCU who have a proportionate policing plan in place to facilitate the event.
