Palestine Solidarity Campaign UK.
Demonstration at the Israeli Embassy.
Friday 1st August 2014.
There is a planned demonstration regarding the actions of Israel in Gaza which will take place this Friday, 1st August outside the Israeli Embassy, Kensington High Street, W8. It is expected to take place between 5.30pm – 7.30pm. The event has been organised by the ‘Palestine Solidarity Campaign UK’.
It is anticipated that more than 5000 people will take part.
During the demonstration, it will be necessary to close Kensington High Street and this will undoubtedly cause traffic disruption in the vicinity. There will also be an increase in noise levels and footfall in and around the immediate area. Transport hubs will also be more busy than usual.
Prior to this event taking place, there will also be a smaller protest by the ‘Solidarity Collective’ outside Tesco, Kensington High Street to protest against the sale of products from Palestine. This protest is expected to take place from 4.30pm.
There is a proportionate policing plan in place to deal with these demonstrations. There will be Police Liaison Officers on duty throughout the events. They will be linking in and engaging with the demonstrators.
Please see the attached link for details should you encounter a protest in or near to your building.
